Fishing has been very good the past few weeks with large chironomids coming off along with smaller ones. Around the May long weekend we get these large chironomids coming off for 3-5 days but this year they been coming off for 2 weeks now. This will make next years hatch a strong one. Water temps are up to 50. Pumkinheads are starting to work signaling the Damsel emergence, a few nymphs have been seen but no adults yet so they will be on the fishes menu in short order. Trollers have been picking up fish with gang trolls with a wedding band trailing a worm. Leeches trolled also picked up fish in shallower water.
Yesterday fish were caught by most guests with a very nice day with little wind unlike the rest of May we have been experiencing this spring.
