Stable weather made for good fishing this past week. There has been thick hatches of very small chironomids all week. Fish have been taking leeches and the past day small caddis as a few were seen and matching flies picked up fish. Chironomid fishing #16’s and later in the day #14’s has been the best method, the bigger fish taking the 16’s. Some #12 size chironomids have been hatching here and there but not in good numbers yet. Throat samples showed mainly very small ones with the odd larger pupae. Damsels will be coming off in a week or two so the nymph should be active. Cabins are available the upcoming week for residents of Interior/North Health regions. Just had a report of good hatch of size 12’s with fish to 23″ feeding on them.
