June rains with a few short breaks and no high pressure kept the fishing a bit tougher since last Tuesday. Mayflies, small chironomids and some larger ones have been coming off, first adult damsel was seen yesterday. Throat samples had black leeches, gammarus scuds. large blood worm and large chironomid pupae. Pheasant tail, pumkinheads and leeches picked up fish. Trollers did better with pink hot shots and small gang trolls with a wedding band and worm. Fish were caught throughout the lake, some caught fish in the middle of the lake off the bottom. Fish were seen active in shallower water yesterday which may be a sign of damsels finally working their way to shallower water and eventually lake shorelines to crawl up the vegetation to the adult stage.
