The lake iced over Nov. 18th, we currently have   3 inches of ice 30 feet  off the resorts shoreline. There is around 3-4 inches of wet snow on the ice with a couple inches of water between the snow and main ice. Nighttime temps have been around -10 with daytime highs around -4. With the snow on top of the ice insulating the cold air from penetrating to the main ice it will be still a week or 2 before the next drill to check it’s thickness. Forecast temps look above seasonal with lows to -4 and highs to 2 with some days up to 4, so it will still be a while before it’s safe.
