Ice blew off the lake April 8th. Windy conditions until today where it’s sunny and a light breeze. A few fish were caught on leeches over the last couple days, swallows are already here, a bit early but nice to see. Lake levels are still on the rise as snow in the hills melt and frost coming out at lower elevations. O2 levels were good over the winter and with the windy weather after ice off the lakes in great shape.
Just a few small patches of snow left surrounding the lake. Daytime temps have been around zero with overnight lows to below 0 by a few degrees which doesn’t help in thawing the lake. There’s 14-15 inches of ice still, … Continue reading
