We offer 19 rustic-style cabins, kept clean and organized by our housekeeping staff. These cabins are modernized cedar-sided cottages with many interior renovations. Each cabin has electricity but no running water. Cabins will sleep from 2 to 9 people and all come complete with cooking and eating utensils. Examples: pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, tea towels, a 12-cup electric coffee maker, and a water jug. Cooking is on a full-size propane stove/oven(propane is supplied). We provide excellent drinking water at Tunkwa Lake, and you can obtain water for your water jug (supplied) from one of our shower houses or dish house.
Smaller open rooms and one-bedroom cabins have a small fridge. The larger two-bedroom cabins have a full-size fridge. Also, each cabin has an airtight wood stove to provide heat. On the porches of our rustic cabins, you will find 2 bundles of firewood per night for the colder season, and 1 bundle per night during the warmer season. Extra wood for a campfire is available for a nominal charge. Dishes can be washed in our dishwashing house.
All of our 2 and 3-bedroom cabins have BBQs except cabin 14, but you must supply propane for the Barbeque, a 20lb tank can hook right up to it. Propane is supplied to the full-size 4-burner cook stove/oven in the cabin.
Each cabin has a picnic table with fire-pits located close by on the lake shore. There are no washrooms in the rustic cabins, but have two shower houses, one for the ladies, and the other for the men, and there is a dishwashing house to do your dishes. Also remember to bring your bedding, pillows, and towels. Our rustic cabins are dog-friendly. Satellite-based wi-fi is available throughout the resort, for a nominal fee. Stags(bachelor parties) are not permitted on our property, with no exceptions. On some long weekends (Victoria Day, Canada Day, and B.C. Day) cabin rentals have a 4-night minimum. Cabins are held for 7 days after check out to secure next year’s dates if re-booking.
Rustic Cabin Details
- Check-in time is 3:00 pm – Check Out time is 11:00 am
- Additional person charge after two adults, $15.00 per night for each person 10 years and over.
- A 50% per night deposit is required at the time of booking.
- Cabins are pet-friendly but must be kept off furniture to avoid a cleaning charge.
- A 60-day cancellation notice is required, 50.00 cancellation fee will be charged.
- Rustic Cabins are Housekeeping Cabins, please leave them as clean as you found them to avoid a cleaning charge of $100.00
- No Smoking inside our Cabins, please use the porch.
