Just a few small patches of snow left surrounding the lake. Daytime temps have been around zero with overnight lows to below 0 by a few degrees which doesn’t help in thawing the lake. There’s 14-15 inches of ice still, a couple of very small bays have a bit of open water, the rest of the shoreline is locked up tight with ice. On a more positive note, daytime temps are hitting the double digits this upcoming week and I see some wind also. The creeks should start flowing with the back country snow melting off. 02 readings were good over the winter, now we just have to wait for weather conditions to warm up and the wind to blow to melt the ice. Guessing the ice will be off near the end of the first week of April or early on the second week, a week to 2 weeks earlier than typical.
