Unstable weather earlier in the week with Southerly winds made for tougher fishing, later in the week winds switched to NW tapering off to a light breeze over the weekend with sunny skies and stable weather pattern. Fishing has been good, micro sized chironomid hatches have been very thick with the adults creating “clouds” with the huge numbers swarming together. Various size chironomids have been hatching up to size #12 in less than 12 feet of water, fish have been taking all sizes but #16 and smaller were working the best especially for the larger fish. Damsel nymphs have been seen but no adults, Caddis should be showing up in more numbers this week.
For trolling, Gang troll with wedding band dabbed with a worm produced fish, Quickfish and hot shots and spinners also.
