Some fish have moved back into the deeper waters of the lake after a few days of not being there. Warm temps to 30 during the day and down to 5 at night the past 4 to 5 days with lots of sunshine. Water temps down to 62-63 in the mornings and back up to 66-67 during the peak of the day and evenings drops quickly down to 63-64. Small chironomids are on the menu in the deeper waters. They have been picky at times and other times it didn’t seem to matter if you had the right size and fished the right depth, very few fish feeding on the bottom even though they are there, most likely we just can figure out what their feeding on. Trollers trolling Hot Shots and Kwikfish are picking up fish, worm under a float fished deep has produced fish. Cooler water temps have dropped some species of weeds, as the water cools down next week with cooler temp more weeds will sink and this opens up the fishing in shallow water with leeches. There has been some late evening surface feeding by the fish, emerging chironomid patterns have worked or stripping Olive green Carey patterns produced fish.
